Solves your flow calculations problems!  And pressure drop (valves, fittings , pipeline) & velocity & pump brake horsepower! Also see Liquid Flow Systems - Bundled Package

The Liquid Flow Calculations with flow, pressure drop for valves, fittings & pipelines; velocity & pump brake horsepower.  ( ver. 2.1). Software calculates the flow of liquids in circular pipes with square or sharp edged orifice plates with radius or corner taps. And calculates pressure drops through network of pipelines, valves, and fittings.  This newly  issued software program is for Windows 98, 2000, XP and Windows NT 3.51 or greater.

The flow section  has a Quick Method of Calculation when the Reynolds Number is greater than 30,000. This is the most common situation. Program calculates Reynolds number for you!

In the October 2003 issue of Chemical Engineering Progress, Page 34, Liquid Flow Calculations ver. 2.1 is described. Also see the on-line CEP Software Directory at www.aiche.org/software  Use: 1. Search Criteria - By Title, Enter Text - Liquid Flow Calculations.

New section added:

  • Pressure Drop calculations for Pipelines  first determines whether flow is laminar or turbulent by calculating the Reynolds number and directs you to the appropriate calculations form.
  • First calculation shows Press Drop per 100 feet of pipe for the liquid flow. US common units or metric units can be used.
  • The next calculation is for pressure drop through a network pipeline with valves and fittings.

  • Tables are provided  for friction factors and equivalent pipe diameters for valves and fittings..

  • Pressure Drop calculations for Pipelines
  • In the Laminar flow section an example diagram and calculations are shown for convenience.
  • These are shown step by step - actually usually only 2 steps are required.
  • Included are calculations for pressure drop through a pipeline with valves and fittings.
  • Velocity calculations in pipelines with liquid flow
  • mean velocity in feet per second is calculated from volume flow and vice versa. US common units and metric units can be used.
  • Tables included:
  • Pipe schedule (nominal pipe diameter) and their internal diameters.
  • Absolute viscosity in centipoises for various liquids at various temperatures.
  • Density of various liquids.
  • Pump brake horsepower
  • calculated in US common units and metric units with additional unit conversion calculations available.
  • uses all the forgoing data.
  • Other items included:
  • where data is not automatically carried forwarded, a print out can be made and used.
  • additional unit conversion calculations readily available.

  • Flow section has Quick Method: use when Reynolds No. > 30,000 which is the most common situation! Program calculates Reynolds number.
  • Straightforward , no trial and error calculations!

  • describes types of flow and related characteristics
  • How To - user friendly instructions to determine Reynolds No. and Flow Coefficient; then calculate liquid flows.
  • shows liquid viscosities and densities; common pipe nominal vs. internal diameters.
  • prints inputs and results.
  • incorporates SI Units (metric), English and US commonly used units or a mix which can be selected for inputs and results.
  • easy to use with full in-program instructions and How-To support
  • Uninstall with Windows Control Panel Add/Remove
  • includes opening Excel (if installed) and copying  of conversions to Excel.
  • includes lists of Definitions, Abbreviations and useful notes.
  • additional unit conversion tables
  • Density and volume flow conversions
